Pam Perkins, Legal Services Manager

Pam Perkins, Legal Services Manager

Pam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Southern Connecticut, with a Major in Theatre and a Minor in Art and a Master of Arts Degree in Media Studies from the New School, all of which naturally means she was destined to work in Elder Law and Estate Planning…what?

But wait, that education taught her to be ever-present, listen, appreciate, empathize, communicate, and pay close attention to detail, all of which she uses every day in her role in Legal Services at the Law Office of Julie Low.

Following shorter gigs at ABC National News in New York and Goldman-Sachs, she spent more than three decades working in the arts and media: as artist, performer, agent, advocate and administrator in Connecticut, New York, Maine and Massachusetts.

She also worked at the Manhattan law firm of Kimmelman, Sexter and Sobel, which was the real estate firm for John Lennon and Yoko Ono at the time of John’s untimely murder, where she spent the following several months acting as front end administrator of the Spirit Foundation, which collected, deposited and logged more than a million dollars in donations from mourners all over the world.

And she contracted with the Maine Judicial Branch for two years, where she researched and designed a volunteer program for the Maine Court System.

Additionally, she served as volunteer President of the Board of Directors for a seasonal condominium association that, unfortunately, underwent four years of unfounded litigation, (We won, hands down!) At that point, her lawyer suggested she might want to go to law school (Nope.)… so apparently, there is a bit of law DNA in her blood, as well.

Following a personal tragedy in 2012, finding herself in a nearly unimaginable situation and facing two contentious Probates, the Law Office of Julie Low was recommended to her for help. Julie Low was instrumental in creating a positive outcome and Pam found a new calling…helping those who find themselves in similar circumstances and educating folks on the options for avoiding situations like hers.

Since March of 2013 she has worked hard to learn about the law, find the best ways to help clients attain optimal results for their individual circumstances and to offer clients the most positive and economical experience possible. Her personal tagline for our law office is: “Your needs are unique, and so are we.”

Pam will be a big part of your design process and an integral part of the production of your estate planning documents. She will also be the point person for matters involving Probate or Estate Administration. She sincerely looks forward to working with you. Really, she does.
